Welcome to the Osprey Lake Valley!
Osprey Lake
Osprey Lake is a serene area located halfway between Princeton, BC and Summerland, BC on the Princeton Summerland Highway. This lake offers many things to do, no matter the season! From lake fishing in spring, summer and fall to ice fishing in the winter, swimming in the summer to wildlife viewing year round, everyone has a good time on or around this Thompson-Okanagan lake! This lake houses some beautiful rainbow trout that take anything from a worm to a chronomid fly. We have both wild trout and stocked Pennask Rainbow Trout from the Summerland Trout Hatchery with Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC. Along with Osprey Lake, Link Lake and Chain Lake offer fantastic fishing opportunities for everyone!
The Kettle Valley Railway
The Kettle Valley Railway is a historic railway system that stretched over 500 kilometers from Hope to Midway, BC. The railway was constructed between 1911 and 1915 and the last train rode the tracks in 1989. This railway is now a gravel multi-use trail utilized by ATVs, dirt bikes, bicyclists, hikers, snowmobiles, snowshoers, equestrians and everyone in between. We are located on the section of the KVR that runs between Princeton and Summerland, more specifically, around the corner from Osprey Lake. The KVR acts as a main artery here in the Osprey Lake community that allows trail users to access other trails in the area and connects users with the multiple lakes within the area. There are two trestle bridges along the KVR that are located within our area that offer spectacular views of Osprey Lake and a beautiful creek. The Kettle Valley Railway offers everyone a little bit of history and an amazing experience.
